So I'm currently on holiday and there's this lovely little book shop called the Little Green Bookshop in Herne Bay. I'm not used to independent bookshops. Where I live we have a Waterstones and two other little bookshops. Those two little bookshops never have anything in that I'd read so I've only got a small Waterstones. Which don't get me wrong, I love it, but I wish I had more small businesses to support. Anyways, the Little Green Bookshop is so lovely. It is small, but they've got such a good range of books. Plus the guy that worked there was so nice, unfortunately, I didn't catch his name. I ended up picking out two books that I've had my eye on. The first one is Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi and the second one, My year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh. Both are by authors I've never read before but they seem like very interesting reads. Especially Before The Coffee Gets Cold. I got that one in hardback and I just love the cover. I've also ended up in Morrisons (a British supermarket) quite a few times on this trip. I spotted Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens in the book section and decided to pick it up. One thing I HATE about supermarket books is that they always put obnoxious stickers on the covers showing their price. I have no clue how to get that off so if anybody knows, feel free to tell me.
I honestly can't wait to get home and pop these up on my shelves. Also planning a little book buying spree when I get back. Not to mention my preorder of the New Verity book by Colleen Hoover should be out when I get home.
